We may be a small community, but we live in a spectacular area In the early days, the waterfront was the hub of the town. Paddle wheelers went up the lake, and barges moved rail cars from one end to the other. The lower part was called Summerland and the upper part West Summerland, with two different post offices. Now, the whole town is Summerland.
