This is definitely a new day!  I have had a blog here, for several years, called Sienna's Everyday life.  Google in their wisdom, has decided to get rid of it.  I am still working to restore it, but in the meantime, I have decided to continue under this title!   I will post today, and see what happens!Image result for photos of Summerland BC  Image result for photos of Summerland BC

We are located in Southern British Columbia Canada.  It is a very tourist orientated area.  We are loca in the Okanagan Valley, on Okanagan Lake, home of Ogopogo.  (There will be more, on all these topics!  We also grow fruit and grapes for wine!  It is a beautiful area in which to live.

CHUCK BERRY ( 1926--2017)

Chuck Berry, guitarist, singer singer and songwriter.  He wasn't the greatest singer in the world.  He was a marvelous entertainer! I saw him at the PNE in Vancouver in the Seventies.  He was billed with two other performers, one of which was ill and did not come.  He did all her sets, as well as his own.  Security was a bit bent out of shape, as he had all the young people up on the stage dancing! We will miss him....   This is how, I remember him!

OGOPOGO: CANADA'S lOCH NESS MONSTER

IN CANADIAN FOLKLORE, OGOPOGO OR NAITAKA IS A LAKE MONSTER. (Salish:  n'ha-a-itk  "lake demon") reported to live in Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada. OGOPOGO HAS ALLEGEDLY BEEN SEEN BY FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE SINCE THE 19TH CENTURY. (there are many legends within the First Nations people that live here)   What people have seen.... We always look at the lake, sometimes we have seen weird objects moving along.  I cannot say, that I have seen Ogopogo, but I know people with lake shore homes, that say that they have seen him.  We have heard many stories, we have had television film crew here, trying to get a photo....so...there must be something to it!
